The 2014 Banquet Program

Our 2014 Red White and Blue Banquet was held on November 8th.

As always we honored those who have served and recognized our local Bastrop County veterans.

Our Guest Speaker in 2014 was Rear Admiral, U.S. Public Health Service, Assistant Surgeon General Epifanio (Epi) Elizondo, PhD, PA-C.

As Region VI Regional Health Administrator (RHA), RADM Elizondo serves as senior federal public health official and scientist. He performs essential functions for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in three major areas: prevention, public health preparedness and agency-wide coordination. Betty TisdaleWe also introduced our Special Honoree Betty Tisdale, Founder of Helping and Loving Orphans (HALO), an organization dedicated to bettering the lives of orphans and at-risk children around the world, especially in developing countries.

Betty Tisdale is recognized internationally for her humanitarian work. She was married to Dr. Tom Dooley, renowned for his compassionate care of the sick and homeless in Southeast Asia.
